Gladstone Michel Weisberg Willner & Sloane Names Three New Principals

LOS ANGELES, CA -- Gladstone Michel Weisberg Willner & Sloane, ALC is pleased to announce three of its attorneys have become principals, effective January 1, 2012: Anthony DiPietra, Amber M. McGovern and Julie H. Rubin.

Anthony DiPietra focuses his practice on defending insurers in bad-faith lawsuits, prosecuting complex subrogation claims, and handling general business litigation matters. Anthony has extensive experience in a wide range of areas, including complex business and commercial disputes, corporate governance, derivative lawsuits, securities litigation, real estate, labor and employment, professional negligence and general business torts. He also has significant experience representing clients in music and film-related matters involving licensing, distribution, contracts and copyright, as well as in administrative proceedings under the Talent Agencies Act. Anthony received his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley and his J.D. from The George Washington School of Law, where he was a member of The George Washington Law Review.

Amber M. McGovern focuses her practice in defending commercial airlines and other aviation-related corporations in civil litigation matters, including products liability, negligence and discrimination claims, and business litigation matters. Amber was selected by Southern California Super Lawyers magazine as a Rising Star for 2010 and 2011, an award that recognizes up-and-coming young attorneys who are no more than 40 years old or who have been in practice 10 years or less. Amber received her B.A. from the University of Michigan and her law degree from DePaul University College of Law, where she was a member of the DePaul Arts & Entertainment Journal. Prior to law school, Amber was a media buyer for Young & Rubicam in Chicago and Atlanta.

Julie H. Rubin is a senior member of the firm's Manufactured Housing Group, focusing her practice on the legal needs of manufactured housing owners, managers and management companies. Julie also handles business litigation, employment, and commercial litigation matters. Since 1989, Julie has represented scores of manufactured housing industry clients in high-stakes multi-party disputes involving "failure to maintain" allegations, rent control, evictions, discrimination, unfair competition, and other related claims. Julie also provides strategic advice on contracts, acquisitions, financing, lease and land-use issues, insurance claims, and employment matters. Julie received her B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles and her J.D. from Loyola Law School.
