Jason Wallach has more than 25 years of bankruptcy, corporate, transactional and litigation experience. He has particular expertise in helping financially stressed businesses and individuals, and keeping financially healthy clients out of litigation.

Jason is rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell and has been named a Southern California Super Lawyer for seven years in a row.

Jason represents a diverse group of business clients, in connection with a broad range of transactions, including business formation, corporate structure, purchases and sales of businesses, financing, real estate acquisition, partnership agreements, loan agreements, business reorganization and other agreements. He serves as outside general counsel to several small and mid-sized businesses, advising clients on day-to-day operations as well as negotiating and structuring significant transactions. Jason works closely with other members of the Business Practice Group and the firm's attorneys in Labor & Employment, Litigation, Insurance, Real Estate and Bankruptcy and Insolvency departments, in order to provide his clients with the highest quality of strategic advice in order to achieve their business objectives.

Jason is extremely successful at anticipating areas that have potential for conflict and protecting his clients' interests. When disputes do arise, he is able to resolve them quickly and cost-effectively utilizing alternative dispute resolution, or litigation, when necessary. Jason has tried cases in both Federal and State courts on matters involving sale of businesses, partnership disputes, financial nondisclosure, fraud, trade secrets, lease defaults, and sheep husbandry, among others.

In his bankruptcy and insolvency practice, Jason counsels stressed businesses, creditors, debtors, trustees, lenders, investors, landlords, tenants, shareholders, directors, spouses and other parties in all aspects of bankruptcies, workouts, turnarounds, restructurings and appeals. He has substantial experience in handling a wide variety of debtor-creditor disputes, and works with clients to assess the benefits and detriments of bankruptcy proceedings and alternatives in order to achieve successful outcomes.

Jason is extremely active in the community and has been recognized for his outstanding commitment to pro bono causes. He is a recipient of Public Counsel's prestigious William J. Lasarow Award for Outstanding Pro Bono Service for 2006, Public Counsel's Debtor Assistance Project Advocate of the Year for 2003, and a nominee for the State Bar of California's 2004 President's Pro Bono Service Award. In January 2010, he was honored by Public Counsel for his eight years of service supporting the Debtor Assistance Project as Chairman of the Pro Bono Subcommittee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section.

Jason serves on the Executive Committees of the Los Angeles County Bar Association's Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section and the Remedies Section. He also serves as Vice Chair of the Bankruptcy Committee.

A native of New York, Jason resides in Encino with his wife and children. In his spare time, he enjoys detective, spy and military books and movies.
