Attorney Amber McGovern Selected as Southern California Rising Star
Amber McGovern, a senior associate with Gladstone Michel Weisberg Willner & Sloane, ALC, has been selected as a 2010 Southern California Rising Star in the area of civil litigation. Southern California Rising Stars, published annually in the July issue of Los Angeles Magazine, recognizes up-and-coming young attorneys who are no more than 40 years old or who have been in practice 10 years or less. The final "Rising Stars" list is limited to 2.5% of Southern California lawyers.
Amber represents clients involved in aviation, civil rights, and business litigation. She has defended major domestic airlines and our general aviation clients in cases involving wrongful death, catastrophic injuries, and ethnic and religious discrimination. She recently second-chaired a trial in a wrongful death action arising out of the crash of a business jet, which resulted in a defense verdict. Amber has earned the confidence of both clients and colleagues alike, and is always ready to assist whenever problems arise.
Amber received her B.A. from the University of Michigan and her law degree from DePaul University College of Law, where she was a member of the DePaul Arts & Entertainment Journal. Prior to law school, Amber was a media buyer for Young & Rubicam, in Chicago and Atlanta, handling accounts for several Fortune 100 companies, including Ford Lincoln-Mercury and AT&T.
Congratulations to Amber on this wonderful professional achievement.
